Is it too late to start an Ebay business?

Before I was doing affiliating marketing like Instant Rewards, which is another passive income program. I used to sell on Ebay. I know you probably have heard about Ebay raising fees and all these PayPal transaction fee. Here is some tips  to anyone that wants to sell on Ebay.

Rare Items- Rare items sells. My items that I sell were Smart boards, which can range up to 2K. I went to college yard sales and I brought extra parts like the pens and sold it for $800.00. Anything is dealing with schools, colleges sales because more than likely they are paying  with a school card. Antiques is another one, but I rather sell it to a person that collects antiques nearby because of people may become suspicious that it is not the real thing.

Do you need a resale License?

I actually have a resale license and I have to say it isn’t the best way. The reason been because you only make a $80 profit if you are lucky. If you are listing an $800 profit which is a lost with Ebay fees and PayPal. If you want to go this way I recommend Ecrater because it is free to list and you only pay for PayPal transaction Fees. You only have to pay state taxes if you make a sale. I highly recommend Ecrater.

Inventory- There are a lot of ways to get inventory. My favorite is storage auctions. I haven’t had any success with thrift shops because it seems like people are cashing in their valuable items. Yard sells is the best. Especially when you go to a garage sale at the end and you can get a deal at the last minute.

My new offline marketing campagin

It’s been a while since I have written and I’m behind on approving posts. I have 6700 posts that I have to read. One thing I have to admit that offline promotion is so fun and when your dealing with affiliating it’s always good to mix it up with online and offline as well. I find it a big time saver to promote offline and you can reach your target market.

Here is my offline quest that you can do.

PO BOX- This is the basic requirements for any marketer. You don’t want your prospect visiting your home address. BTW my PO Box is PO BOX 1898 Smyrna, GA 30081

Post Cards- Imagine going to a parking lot passing out postcards to your target audience or even sticking them on their cars! Good feeling.

Barnes and Noble- I don’t know about you , but Barnes and Noble is the best spot to close leads. Also good networking. I usually hang out at the business section of the book area and have a nice conversation. If you are in the Atlanta area and is serious about  making money. In one of my articles I mention something about how to get traffic and I mention Yahoo Contributor. I wrote my own content on March 31. It took me only 15 minutes and it is FREE! In my past article I wrote about  banner ads is another way to advertise your site, but I didn’t explain where to buy banner ad space. How to get traffic to your blog for free?

Thanks for all the comments . I do pay attention to all the feedback everyone is giving me. Last post I wrote about all my failures I had since blogging.  This post I’m going to write how to get traffic to your blog or any website. I know you have read many posts about how to get traffic to  your sites, but I’m going to tell you how to  do it. Earlier posts I have wrote some marketing tips that  you can utilize to get traffic as well so I won’t mention most of them.

Articles-  This is main source I used to get traffic. I always used the articles from my blog, but I usually shortcut my articles so they can click on my link and read more.

Press Release- This is my favorite because it doesn’t  takes a lot of time and its fast approval. There are 100s of sites that are free. Some of the sites you have to pay.

Comment on other people’s site- I do this all the time, but not much. I get a little results because I put in little work.

Blog Directories- I just started using this method and I highly recommend it because it automatically submit your recent posts to a whole group of people.

Yahoo Contributor- I highly recommend this method. I just started doing this method. It’s a slim change that you may end up on Yahoo Headlines, but I highly recommend it because other Contributors will read your uses. You also get paid, but its not a lot.

Zenmanta- I highly recommend this tool to your blog. I just started using it because I don’t feel like looking for Keywords for every damn article! Plus you can add similar ads to your post

One of my readers  asked me how I got on Yahoo News and I really didn’t know. I had a hunch I was on some big media sites because traffic just went crazy. Funny thing I  Google how to get on Yahoo news and never really found a true answer.

SEO-  This is one of my other ways how I get my traffic. I only get like 11%, but that’s good because I’m getting traffic using other ways.

Other sites that you can used that I don’t even used

Facebook,Youtube, Twitter.

Key tips:

Don’t get stuck on online marketing. The way I used offline marketing is that I used business cards which I don’t throw in people’s face. I have a  conversation with them. Ask questions and see what they want. If you have good feedback on your blog or a good reputation that always helps. When they asked what is your number? I give them my business card with my site.

Don’t Do

Never pay for traffic. Even though they say it is target traffic it really isn’t. I made this mistake with my whole selling when I first started. All I got was a con artist that was trying to buy six laptops which was so obvious.

How to make $250 in a day or get a computer monitor?

Hello how is everyone doing. I would like to introduce a great company that you can work from home. My journey to finally writing a decent blog.

As I was going through my comments daily I notice someone asked me how I’ve had success in my blog. Actually, I don’t think I’m successful like Problogger, but I think I’m doing fairly well for a newbie. I have been blogging since October 2011 and before Oct I’ve had experience with 2 other platforms.

Typepad-  I started off at the monthly subscription level because a book recommend it.  I had it for 1 month and I never made a post.  One thing I like about Typepad is that they have a lot of  companies that you can  start earning money.

Cons-most of these companies you have to have a good amount of traffic that I won’t even qualify for this blog.I also notice that a typepad domain name never shows up on search engine.

 Lesson Learn- I learn that you should start off using a sub domain just to get the feel of the blogging world before you upgrade. Also to don’t expect to make money off blogging right away.

Blogger- Blogger is another site I recommend not because it’s part of Google, but because it is easier to used.  You also can make money with a number of Google programs. Here is my crappy blog that I even forgot the password to it.

Cons- You only can make money with Google companies and you are limited. A stupid mistake I made was I paid $10.00 for a domain name and I have to admit it. It is really cheesy name. I should have got a .info domain name to save the hassle.

Lesson Learn- If you decide to go to the sub domain route I choose blogger because you see a lot of  domain names rank on 1st page.

WordPress- This is my actual blog here and I would say I finally nailed it at last.I had took a break and analyze things and found out what went wrong. One thing I like is the sample themes. There are a lot of themes for free, but a slim chance that you will find a theme that you like. Also I love the plugins and the fact you can see their ratings before you install it which is a one click process. Also I like the one click WordPress installment. I will go over that in a later post and how to install it manually as well. It is very easy to write content and post.

Cons- I wish there was a way I can make my sidebar with banner ads without worrying about content getting cut off. Mostly It will be free banner ad space for my readers to display their site. That is pretty much it!
Lesson Learn- I actually had subscribe to Aweber which it was a bad mistake. WP has all the plugins you need for your marketing needs.

 

Next post coming up I will show you different ways to get traffic to your site without paying a dime and why paying for traffic is stupid. My Facebook page is locate under Blogroll, which is locate on the homepage. I just started the FB page. Notesil is the name of my wordpress templete.

Thanks everyone for leaving me feedback. I’ve read all the comments and seems like everyone wants to know what template I’m using. WordPress dose not have much templates that is attractive so I went with a plan template. You may have to look on the 3rd page or farther to find the template. Here is a screen shot. I recommend Greenshot to snap images because it is 100% free and no 30 day trial expiration time.

 

This is a snap shot of my  Dashboard (see that wonderful Greenshot image icon) . Plugins is my favorite tool. BWS is a banner ad widget that you can make banners. I used to use it, but I don’t like the way they post it on your blog. I highly recommend using  GIMP  2 which is an alternative to Adobe Photoshop and you can design your banner ads or postcard and get a proper fit size. It is very easy to used. All you have to do is watch a couple Youtube Videos and your on your way. One of my posts I state why you don’t have to get Aweber because you can set up your own auto responder for free using WordPress Plugin. I’ll have a post coming up of how you can set up your blog or website using WordPress and you don’t have to know coding. Here is a example of another site I have that I don’t used it for blogging.  You can used it as a capture page with another auto responder. I really don’t know why I even build the site up!
